Aunque la carrera de RESIDUAL aún es incipiente, tiene el respaldo de una inmensa y respetadísima trayectoria musical, la cual recae sobre los hombros de su miembro fundador, Javier Cuevas. Luego de haber formado parte de las primeras agrupaciones propiciatorias del nacimiento del movimiento cultural llamado Heavy Metal argentino, como fue el caso de Heinkel, su nombre siempre será asociado a Jerikó. Con esta última, de la cual fue fundador, grabó infinidad de álbumes en dónde ha sido parte esencial. Así se sucedieron más de veinte años girando por toda la Argentina y Latinoamérica, registrando himnos del Metal argentino y compartiendo escenarios con artistas internacionales. Pero hubo una necesidad de renovarse por parte de Javier y tomó la decisión, probablemente la más difícil de su carrera al día de hoy, de apartarse de la banda con la que se consagró y recibió merecido reconocimiento. Así entonces, en el año 2015, comienza éste nuevo proyecto y desafío. Y tan solo en dos años de recorrer escenarios y pulir composiciones propias, RESIDUAL llega al 2017 con su primer álbum de larga duración grabado y pronto a ser editado por Pulmonar Recordables. Dicho LP es autotitulado y todas las composiciones corrieron por parte de Cuevas, quien se ve acompañado por el actual baterista de Jerikó (Manchi Rodríguez). A esto se suma una joven formación, que refresca la obra del legendario guitarrista, sin apartarlo de sus raíces características.

Although the history of RESIDUAL is still incipient, it has the support of an immense and respectable musical career, which falls on the shoulders of its founding member, Javier Cuevas. After being part of the first bands propitiatory of the birth of the cultural movement called Heavy Metal Argentino, as was the case of Heinkel, his name will always be associated with Jerikó. With this last one, of which he was founder, he recorded infinity of albums, in which he has been an essential part. This was followed by more than twenty years touring all over Argentina and Latin America, recording hymns of Argentine Metal and sharing scenarios with international artists. But there was a need for renewal by Javier and he took the decision, probably the most difficult of his career up to date, to move away from the band, where he was consecrated and received well deserved recognition. So then, in 2015, begins this new project and challenge. And only in two years of touring and improving its own compositions, RESIDUAL has arrived to 2017 with its first full length album recorded and to be released soon by Pulmonar Recordables. This LP is self-titled and all tracks were written by Cuevas, who is accompanied by the current Jerikó drummer (Manchi Rodríguez). Add to this a young line up, which refreshes the work of the legendary guitarist, without getting away from its characteristic roots.
